The 43rd session of FAO has started its work in Italy

Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan attends session

The 43rd session of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization has started in Rome, Italy. The Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov participates in the session, which will last until July.

The participants of the session will discuss issues such as rational use of the planet's water resources, integrated effective management of water resources, reduction of atmospheric precipitation and uneven distribution by Regions, minimization of the negative impact of droughts, floods, deluge and floods on the agricultural sector and others.

The Azerbaijani delegation held bilateral meetings with the ministers of Agriculture of a number of countries within the framework of the session. Minister Majnun Mammadov and his colleagues from Estonia, North Macedonia, Uzbekistan and Moldova discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the agrarian sector, increasing the trade turnover of agricultural products, improving the legal and regulatory framework of cooperation, sharing experience in the field of Agrarian Research and technologies, etc. he held discussions on topics of mutual interest.
