Agrarian Innovations Festival was held at Barda Vocational High School

The Next Agrarian Innovation Festival organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Science and Education was held in Barda on July 1.  All subordinate bodies of the Ministry of Agriculture, a number of vocational education institutions under the State Agency for Vocational Education, more than 80 local and foreign companies, as well as various projects and startups participated in the festival, which took place at Barda Vocational High School.

Making a speech at the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev noted that the reforms carried out in the field of vocational education in recent years have begun to show their results, and the number of admitted students has increased by more than 50% over the past 3 years and reached to 19,000. Emin Amrullayev mentioned that the development of vocational education in relation to all sectors of the economy is very important. Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov noted that the festival would have a positive impact on the further strengthening of cooperation between agricultural producers and vocational educational institutions.

During the event, trainings were organized for farmers in priority areas for the development of the agrarian sector. During the festival, information sessions were also held for students of vocational education institutions by private companies operating in the field of irrigation and plant protection measures in order to increase interest in agriculture and attract young people to this area. Representatives of the public were informed that Barda Vocational High School has great opportunities in terms of agriculture among vocational education institutions particularly . In 2021, about 1,200 students study in areas of high demand, such as agriculture, ICT, industry, at the enterprise, which began to operate according to modern standards.

It should be noted that the festival was organized in order to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan and strengthen existing relations between agriculture and the vocational education sector.
