Various competitions, competitions, hackathons and festivals on agrarian technologies are realized in our country on the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture and in partnership with the Agrarian Innovation Center. The crucial objective of these competitions is to support the promotion and implementation of innovations in the agricultural sector, the development of agrarian startups, the improvement of productivity in the agricultural sector through the use of innovations and digital technologies, and the improvement of agrarian management.
Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with young people who took part in different competitions, competitions and festivals in the agrarian sector with their startup projects. The Minister positively assessed the startup projects presented in the competitions and stressed his confidence that these projects will have a positive outcome on the increase in efficiency in the production of agricultural products in the future. Mentioning that the Ministry will provide all kinds of support to agrarian startups, Majnun Mammadov said that new technologies to be applied in the agrarian sector will support the development of the country's economy and wished success to startups in their activities in this direction.
It was emphasized at the meeting that more than 10 startup teams from more than 20 universities are participating in agrarian innovation festivals held in the regions. Startups participating in the "Teknofest" Aviation, Space and Technology Festival", "Agro X", "Greenovation“" "Ideathon on Agrinnovation", "Baku Food Hackathon" , "Skills for the future" competitions presented their projects and prototypes.
Among the projects, such startups as hazelnut harvesting facility, “varatosis” mite control in beekeeping, platform for establishing direct contacts between local honey producers, equipment and web platform for artificial intelligence management of irrigation, portable food block for cars, paving stones for managing groundwater, biogas, genetically modified cocoons, climate station, sensor for precise irrigation management, intelligent greenhouse management system, agro-robot that cleans weeds
An exchange of views was held on startup projects facilitating agrotechnical care rules for increasing crop production, and the voiced proposals were recorded at the meeting .
